home depot intercooler couplers?

Im short a couple of couplers. Will the plumbing rubber Hoime depot ones work or will they melt? Id place them after the intercooler which should be a bit cooler. Anybody do this?

my buddy got his for $4 at home depot still holding after more than 6 months in a rex with 8 psi on a t25 i think you will be good as long as you dont crank up the boost

They've held just fine for me, even up to 14 psi. No melting at all, biggest thing is get better clamps for them so they don't pop off under higher boost, and try to keep the gap between your charge pipes to a minimum.

I have a couple of HD couplers that have been on my car for 2 years now. :6 The only problem I have had is with the 90* bends. They tend to blow out/tear on the outside seem.

i use them on the job all the time to test for plumbing leaks.
theyll hold 14psi fine.
but be warned that the rubber will rot away quicker than a layered silicone coupling.
the silicone will take the heat like nothing.

they work.... just dont use the 1.5in to 2.5in adapter to clamp off the turbo to the ic piping.. it will bend and break all the time.... other than that the 2.5in couplers on anything else work fine.

I use radiator hose for semis.... Different stuff you can find at the parts store  Put hair spray on your stuff and clamp it down, why wouldnt it hold. And if it dosent find somthing that does. No need for all the "will this or this hold". Most of this stuff is common sense.

hair spray is sticky right? spray it on your piping. when it gets a little tacky put your piping together. clamp it down with hose clamps t-bolts etc. anything else you cant figure out?
