Well...my experiment is on hold at least for now. I got all of the bolts that hold the center section off except for one. I'm going to take a sawzall to it and see if I can cut the head of the bolt off because there is NO WAY in hell it's coming off any other way. As a matter of fact I'd like to know how they got that ------- thing in there.

H1c is the older model of the HX35w. It was the previous/older model used on the diesels you'll find the hx35 on.

Its similar in specs to hx35, just not as efficient (older design).

lets put it this way...i have a 2.4L engine in my 240sx....well...i have an H1E turbo...which is just a tad bit but not too much bigger than that thing in the picture...and well i didnt get full boost til 5200 rpms....you wont get any boost at all prolly with that turbo...and if you do you will prolly end up having 1000 rpms left in your powerband......id sell that thing...i sold my H1E for 300 bux.

Ummm, a KA is much different then a D series. you can't just look at size of the motor.

I'm pretty sure the honda motor is more efficient then that thing.

I'm using a larger turbo than that on my stock dohc ZC with a HF mani. 1.0a/r exhaust housing and a 3.5in downpipe. It's definatly a little bit to big for the stock ZC, but it does spool, around 45-5000ish it starts spooling and pulls pretty good all the way to 7800.

I would definatly use that turbo

I'd whoa up a big before we jump to conclusions. There are a lot of Holsets, some are about equivalent to a .50 trim T04E, and the turbines aren't too badly sized.

Get on Holset.com and look up Diesel Injection Service in Cincinatti, OH, ask for Jaymez, read him the numbers on the tag and ask him about turbine sizing for your application. Ask him about buying a different turbine housing, because the price may not be too bad, and sometimes it's more expedient than finding another turbo. He's super busy so don't waste his time, but he's also SUPER nice. He'll probably get your info and call you back the next day.

hahahahaha....yeah we know a ka is different...2.4L compared to 1.6/1.5...can we say torque...who needs to rev to 8000 when you can rev to 7000 and make tons of torque. and im sure a stock DOHC vtec motor flows better than a stock KA motor...but a stock D series or stock B series non vtec motor isnt going to flow better than a stock KA. Ive owned hondas and yes vtec's flow alot. But im sure my KA flows better than a stock vtec motor...but then again ive got 1500 in bottom end and another 500 in the stage 3 turbo cams i have and another 400 in porting....too bad the boost is going to have to wait another month

p.s. My license plate says " NO SR20"
who wouldnt rather have 2.4L over 2.0?

Crazy Dave was very annoyed when my 1.8 non-VTEC spooled a .60/.63 T3 1000 rpms quicker than his 2.3 with .60/.48 T3.

The difference is specific output, as dictated by combustion chamber ergonomics. I think you missed the point here.
