hello
Im new to this forum
I have a 2g dsm with an h1c I have been considering going with an hy35 to help with lag.
I discovered the thread with the honda with the hy35 and noticed what was said about the twin scroll set ups spooling faster when used properly. I have the 18cm non wastegated housing. What I did is cut down the center rib and blended the 2 into one and welded a external waste gate into it.
It spools pretty slowly and I have only been able to get a max of 25 psi out of it. I think the single scroll where it hits the turbine wheel is really restricting it. Do you think I should get another twin scroll housing and make a matching header or go with the hy35? I plan on building a header anyways so Im not worried about that.

I would go with a HY35 they spool reasonably quick on a Honda so should work good on the DSM.9cm vs 18cm has got to spool way quicker.

Ya thats what ive been looking at doing. Im not relly runnig through an 18cm since I blocked off half of the housing.
I would estimate it at being a 12-14cm now. I guess I should give some pics of what I did

Well I just won a he351w off of ebay. I figured it was a hy 35 but I went through the other thread

of model x's and saw what gt350 had writen about him having an he351w aswell.

Has anyone else used this, or know anything more about this turbo like a comp map?

Now i just have to take off the h1c and switch in the new girl. Hope this spools abit better if not ill just have to continue to drive the car like I stole it. hahaha
