HMT Pros Please Help.

Hello!
First of all, I have 2006 Civic LX.
Theres only one company out there that came with the R18 Engine Turbo Kit (AJP)
However, I have to pay 4000~insh, for 190whp.
I would like to invest 4000~ish for 250whp.
Can you guys take a look at the design of R18 Engine Series and come up with the project diagram?
Please.. I need to get my baby running faster.. :(
Thank you very much
From: Noobby Mike.

How about you look at it since you have the engine? We aren't going to do the work for you.

Yikes, I took one look at an R18 engine at a friends house and it looks like a cluster. Why don't you take that $4k, buy an old honda and boost it and have money left to spare?

No joke, this is actually really good advice if you have the room to store another car.

also what your location, there might be some one local who will do fab work on your car since you seem unconfident

thats the engine with the single exhaust port. mount that bitch right on the head. i bet you could run an afc hack(as much as i hate the idea) and get close to your goal.

I live around Toronto..
Someone Must Help me ... :(
Trust me HMT Pros, I have no idea How I can increase the space in Engine Bay.
(I'm for sure going to relocate battery into the trunk)
Please anyone in Toronto?
Even 2~3 hours away from Toronto, I'm willing to drive to see HMT Professionals
Thank you for your time :)

Re: HMT Pros Please Help.

The simplicity of the manifold is overcome by the clusterfuck of charge piping. Good Luck

lol, just a personal hate for the motor and timing maps

Re: HMT Pros Please Help.

why did they go and replace such a good thing with that motor, Timing chain instead of a belt, distributorless ignition, and what is all that EGR crap? it looks like some kind of freak motor built in the us.

Re: HMT Pros Please Help.

The manifold/DP section looks like it'd be pretty easy to fab. Even the charge piping isn't that bad of a deal compared to some setups I've seen (hell, even an LS/vtec swapped ED hatch with a decent size turbo is tight). I honestly don't think it would be any worse than some of the setups I've done on my ED6 chassis with a b-series, and the only reason it looks cluttered up in the pic is because of the fmic. A battery relocation and a smic would probably make life easier, or a fmic with both the inlet/outlet on the same side of the endtanks. However like stated, tuning would def. be fun. Maybe a combo of an fmu and an afc with slightly larger injectors would work, that way you wouldn't have to scale back as much to the point where your ignition starts advancing like crazy. :-\

Re: HMT Pros Please Help.

Doesn't look that bad. If I had the time and I were closer I would take a shot at that. I wouldn't want to tune that though. Thats gotta be the simplest "manifold" I have ever seen. Go for it, dude.

Re: HMT Pros Please Help.

adapter plate FTW!! Well you might have to make sacrifices, like you might have to dump accessories on the engine and or move things around to get the clearance you need to make this work. Not everything is straightforward but i would bet that the car would have to be down for a while to make all this fabbed up and installed and running. My greatest concern is managemant, as this is an obd2 car and i have no idea what works on new civics... I bet its probably wayyy expensive either way. It would be much less hassle getting an older civic (2000 or older) and tooling around with that.
