HMT 92 Sentra JDM SR20DE

Well this is my brothers car. It has a JDM SR20DE in it and we decided to do a turbo kit for it. It has a stock SR20DET manifold, custom adapter plate to mate to the T3 housing of the super 16G turbo. Has a custom front mount, from a truck core, 460 RX7 injectors, Eclipse resistor box, SAFC, 2.5" DP, 1G DSM bov. This was done on a very tight budget and turned out pretty well. The car use to have a 100 shot of nitrous and ran a 8.2 in the 1/8th mile. Great thing stock motors are already forged. :P
This car was also in a magazine in europe back in its prime. I will have some other pics sometime soon. It was in a mag called Banzai, just for those interested.
Well for some pics anyway.

Goog job. I've alway had a spot in my heart for the SE-r's. I especially like the matching Engine Block Colour!!!!!

Nice to see how the turbo comparse to NOS.

We will see hopefully really soon. I know my brother has been looking forward to driving this thing for a long time.

Nice platform to work with. I read somewhere that the stock internals are good for 300+HP. Nuff potential.

Dude that bumper is complete custom. I think it looks real good on his car. I gurantee no one else had it back in the day. You have to remember this car has been like this for a very long time. It was honestly the first of its kind around here. If he gets back on he can explain a little more.

Anb yea, we still have that little grudge match.... you want the civic or the 7?

There's a good reason for that

Any bumper is better then the stock one for cooling reasons cause they have horrible cooling passages for the radiator. I don't really miss my SE-R and my GTIR engine I had for it. Just too many issues with it. Weak trannies, susp travel and selection of good susp for the B13, and quite a few other things. Nice setup though, don't know about the looks of it.

Jason's GTi-R 93 SE-R ran 7.95@90.5 mph in the 1/8th off of 12 psi with stock T28. Lotsa the Nismo boys run those things 17-18 psi.

B15 or P11 gearbox is everything but a direct bolt in, hold 500 whp on several people's rides.

Not sure what you think is wrong with the suspension travel??? Stock 170K mile suspension in okay but not great repair has Jason cutting 1.8x 60' times... he's a born driver, though.

Re: HMT 92 Sentra JDM SR20DE

I love SE-R's :). What are you guys tuning it with? I remember we ran some of those rx7 injectors on my friend's old sohc hatch.

edit: just saw that you are using an afc. Are you going to go standalone?

Mintracer 08-11-2005 08:40 PM

Re: HMT 92 Sentra JDM SR20DE

No i am going to use the afc to lean out the injectors, still using the stock ecu but i will be looking into a sr20det ecu because they have eproms. Then my bro can tune it easier.

Tom-Guy 08-12-2005 02:53 PM

Re: HMT 92 Sentra JDM SR20DE

92 Sentra ECU *is* EPROM, little buddy. It is the *exact* same hardware as RNN14 aka GTi-R aka 54C00.

Run Z32 MAF, whatever size injectors you want. Splice 300ZX MAF tables into the stock code. Fiddle injector size and deadtime to suit whatever it is you are running. All data table hacks, and the car will run just like stock, at higher boost + with bigger injectors. It's not a tuenarboi-fest like the speed density Honduh stuffs.

Re: HMT 92 Sentra JDM SR20DE

when my bro and me opened up the ecu there was no socket or anywhere that one would be.I know what eproms look like i have one in my audi and my bmw.If you pics please send.

www.zcontrol.net

Go to forums.

You need a daughterboard for most Nismo stuffs - bikirom.com USB multiboard is what I recommend.
