yeah mine did for a while until today I noticed this giant crack in SS AUTOCHROME MANIFOLD, hope you dont have one these. it sounded like it craking iternally by that popping sound.

Its the catalitic converter.The one on my Dodge Ram sounds like morse code. :o

ahah d16z64life you're so right. mine dakota pops really really loud, and the ------- thing shocks the ---- out of me when i get out

Is it new?Do you wear rubber sole shoes.My passat would do that when it was new every time I wore rubber sole dress shoes only.---- I hated that!Its couse you build up static(like when you rub your feet on carpet)and the rubber insulates your body.When you get out and close the door.... ouch!---- thats anoying!!!
