Default Hmm, so my wastegate actuator has a leak

If you suck on the hose, you can suck air thru the hose pretty bad, but if you blow on it a bit, it stops leaking and holds the pressure, but i bet at 10psi it might leak still. Im thinking that my wastegate is causing my wierd boost issues... like getting 9ish psi instead of 10. Has anybody else had a wastegate that leaked a little like this? I know youd think that the boost would increase due to the can not holding air in it, but i think that its leaking thru the can because the can still holds pressurized air for the most part... but iit leaks during vaccuum... wtf?

A simple test is to disconnect the armature from the swing arm (actual wastegate) pull the armature and place a finger over the wastegate nipple. If it is good, it should hold vacuum and the armature should stay extended. Let go of the nipple and it should snap back.

ehh it was sketchy so i took it apart, and it has a 1/8 iin hole in the middle of the diaphram and a 1/2" slit in it too. Im gonna see if i can get another or possibly swap diaphrams or somthing.
