Re:hks sqv BOV ?? input
it makes the cute birdie sound, i like it. and it looks pretty too

Re:hks sqv BOV ?? input
I have one and it's really loud even at only 7-8 psi. I love it though cuz I like to show off ;D. If you are going for the sleeper looks and sounds, stay away from the HKS SQV BOV.

Re:hks sqv BOV ?? input
It sounds like wastegate flutter. Its personally not one of my favorites. Because of it being 'sequential' its not one of the best performing BOV's either.

Re:hks sqv BOV ?? input
I have heard good things about the Tial BOV

Re:hks sqv BOV ?? input
what does it being sequential mean. how does it differ from a non sequential?

Re:hks sqv BOV ?? input
I've never even heard of the eclipse BOV. But think thats what I'm gonna get though... Its CHEAP and If I ever need to upgrade no biggie!

Re:hks sqv BOV ?? input
The sequential part means it doesn't let all the air out of the charge pipe, supposedly helping the turbo spool faster. Thats what the fluttering sound is. Its also the most expensive BOV on the market and its non adjustable (becuase it is sequential) A non sequential is a traditional BOV that does what it is supposed to and lets all the air out of the charge pipe at once. This is why a Greddy type-S, DSM BOV and other traditional BOV's are louder and perform better.
And if you care about the 'sleeper effect' than just run the BOV like a bypass valve and shoot the air back into the turbo. |
Re:hks sqv BOV ?? input
I hate to jack ur thread, but I was just curious do I need an adaptor to put on the Greddy Type S BOV onto just a regular pipe? It looks as if I do, but just curious...
