high impedance or low impedance
what the difference betweeen high impedance and low impedance injuctors... good bad?

Re: high impedance or low impedance
Some cars work with one kind, some work with the other. That is all.

Re: high impedance or low impedance
high impedence are saturated, low impedence are peak and hold

Re: high impedance or low impedance
im glad accord/ludes have prewired a resistor box, dsm 450s just right plug in.

Re: high impedance or low impedance
so which one would i need for a d16y8 boosted going to be pushing like 200-250... o yea its a 97 ex

Re: high impedance or low impedance
That depends on a few things. Most larger injectors are Peak and hold (low impedance). But, depending on what injectors you use for your setup will determine what type they are. Say you go with a set of 450cc DSM injectors like most of us here. Those would be Peak and hold style (low impedance), meaning you'd need to wire in a resistor box or some inline resistors to convert them to the factory Honda (saturaterd/high impedance) style injectors.
Or, if you didn't want to mess with the wiring at all, you could most certainly look into a set of aftermarket injectors like Venom or RC's which you can get a larger set in saturated, or peak and hold depending on how you want to run/install them. I guess what I'm saying is, both types will work but you have to be aware what type you have because the wiring is different for both types. |
Re: high impedance or low impedance
Trance everything you said is correct, except you switched the low/high impedance around

Re: high impedance or low impedance
Ah so I did. Thanks for finding that jago, I went back and edited it so no one gets confused.
