Hey there, I have been building a 74 Dodge dart for the last 2 years, I decided to go boost last summer and have been piecing together the kit. On another site a guy that used to work for Cummins told me that anything T3 flanged will be too small for a V8 even in Dual form. So not to say hes wrong but just to get second opinions.
goal 650-700hp @ 6000rpm base engine is a dodge 360 300hp with 125hp nitrous shot. The turbo kit so far- HX35W 12cm housing t3 flange 60mm Exhaust outlet 58mm exhaust wheel, 56mm compressor wheel x 2 Headmen shorty headers with external tial 40mm wg's 4”x 6”x 22” fmic good to 750hp 50.5 mm tial bov 2.75" x-pipe exhaust Mighty Demon BT 650cfm carb Aeromotive boost ref fuel reg and pump So ya, I think Im ok with both turbos set at about 8-10 psi as far as cfm but I don't know for sure. Thanks!! |
twin t3 turbos will be more than adequite for your application. if you had a big block then t3's would be too small but with a small block your fine....
|
What's your plan for running the carb? Just curious. Have those models (mighty demon bt) proven to be reliable?
|
Thanks busa4, that's more or less what I thought too and unless anyone disagrees I'm going for it. Andrew the Demons are excellent quality but they are notoriously hard to tune so have had a little bit of a bad rap by people expecting them to work right out of the box.

Cool, another Dodge Dart owner! I agree with Busa4, unless your smallblock revs to the moon, you could go with a pair of HX35s and be OK. Real T3s are a bit on the small side, but there are T3 flanged turbos that are big enough.
