Hf to T3 Problem

I have an HF manifold, t3 adapter and t3 turbo off a volvo. I cant get the turbo to fit because the wastegate hits the block ( an A6 ) . Is there a sertin way to mount the wastegate or something I should fab up to make it work?. Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Post pics, but yes you can mount the wastegate actuator anywhere you want. Rotate that ----, mount it on the side of your engine, whatever. It's been done a million times.

Re: Hf to T3 Problem

i had this problem with my d16a1. At first, I just took the wastegate off of the turbo, and mounted it to the block. I then had to extend the wastegate arm. This got things to work but it lowered the boost a good amount (just get a MBC to fix this) and it also allowed for boost creep.

I didnt like this setup, so i bought a smaller aftermarket interal wastegate and made my own bracket to mount it to the turbo It was like the stock one but not as tall. Now, everything clears, and the wastegate is more reliable.
