HF manifold porting?
me and a friend are building a turbo kit for his car and want to stay cheap but make alot of power. were using the vitara/tt rod combo and plan on running 20 somethign psi. i can get a HF manifold for free and was wondering if it was ported would it be worth wild to use? i was telling him we could save money using that manifold and getting an adapter plate. probly wouldn't make as much power then a mini ram but its cheaper for now. were using a 60/63 T3.

----, why not, besides it's free...if you don't like it, you could use something else. By the way, how big your ports are and how well matched up they are equally important. But you probly already know that...Also, in case you havn't seen it already, you can open up the O2 sensor hole to match an external gate and hook one on top of the mani...it's just kinda tough to get it to seal right...gotta be totally flat..

I've heard of hf's being used on some pretty high hp setups, over 300 for sure, maybe more. I'd go for it and post your results. There is obiously more efficient manifolds out there but if its free why not see what it can do.
