This is the manifold were using for my friends civic. We had a friend weld it up and make the o2 sensor hole alittle bigger. It turned out awesome. Here are some pics. Ill get more pics of it when its in the car.

Ive seen one that was brazed and looked pretty unstable, that looks good though, might just be cause its painted

throw it through some heat cycles

I've got a gigantic Audi external WG on my HF manifold and its held for thousands of miles now... I don't think it'll be coming off anytime soon. We also double welded like above, inside and outside to help give it more strength.

I'd like you guys to post an update on how that paint holds up. I'd love to clean up my manifold... but I'm to cheap to send it out for real coatings :p

How did he weld it. If I were to ever turbo a d15/d16 it would be with an HF mani with external gate just like that!!

im seeing quiet a diff in quality however......b20accords is much cleaner but im sure they both work perfect for a cheap set up.

his jdm black paint will burn off in 1 boost run and look just like mine. I personally like it hanging off the side better

we will find out. If it does its no problem. The paint is suppose to be good for 1500 degrees.

My VHT painted HF manifold help up good.I sandblasted and wiped it down with acetone then a few coats of paint and it looked so much better.

i got a newbee question why does everybody love external gates soo much to go through all this trouble, is it for boost spike or shits and gigles

Internal wastegates are a little fincky and not that realaible in the upper psi levels.I have never had much luck with them as boost would always spike a bit etc.They work good for low psi levels but i prefer external as it is solid control and more reliable in my opinion.
