Ive seen people draw up plans for an external wastegate hf mani. and the thought has been rolling through my head. my question is can i just go to homedepot graba peice of steele pipe that can thread through the o2 hole and put beed round the bottom and the wastegate up top?

My thoughts are the pipe will not be big enough or the position of the wastegate will be not that effective.

 

port the hole out larger and weld a piece of pipe onto the cast, if you just thread in a piece of pipe and do it that way, it won't flow enough and you'll get boost creep.

In the end it would look cool thou
I've never seen it before
If this is a spare mani then go for it but
if not save the idea for another rainy day
or weekend( what it will turn into)
