HEY IT'S ALIVE! It runs. Ill have pics up in a sec, but it runs good.....

Well i pretty much said what i wanted to in the title. It RUNS GOOD! It's perfect. Starts great. Tomorrow it'll be terrible i just know it so ill enjoy it while i can :P
I've only reved it to 3K but damn, it almost started first try if i wouldn't have had battery problems.

ALSO, idk if my oil return line is angled enough and that's what im worried about. The 45 degree is actually on the turbo, not on the pan and it's flat to the pan. (ill have pics in a sec.

So so far soo good. Also, a stupid question. It whines at like 1.5K .....that's the turbo right???? :)

It's RUNNING TOO ------- GOOD >:(

Here's some temporary pics (from before) of my setup. (posted last week)

look at my pic

the top part is what you have in your sinks at home draining... as long as point A is higher than point B, you are fine, it will still drain, that's how your sink works

you ask why? see that red dotted line, once water fills up to that red line in the "U" shaped part, from physics and gravity, more water poured into the inlet will push it passed the "U" shaped and drain. the water will never go higher than the red dotted line in the inlet

same things goes for the oil line, people freak out and scream their dog's name out when they see the fitting on the oil pan is not tottally down, it doesn't need it be, you can have it go zig zagging, as long as point on your turbo OUT is H I G H E R than the point on the oil pan... it will drain.

the pic of the oil return i drew is how my oil return is, you don't see my complaining about turbo's smoking or "i blew my seals"

boosted for over 1 month.

AND MY OIL LEVEL IS THE SAME, i didn't burn anything.

I dont know how true this is. Mine was like this and backed up to hell. The way I fixed it was a pre bent 90 degree hose. Cut peices on point A until it angeled and connected on both sides. So it angles down for the most part. Helped allot.

Re:HEY IT'S ALIVE! It runs. Ill have pics up in a sec, but it runs good.....

blind, tell me if your sink backs up water??? obvisouly it doesn't, the sink pipes are no different than oil return, physics is physics, it doesn't care if it's your ---- flowing through or oil!

the ONLY other reason why you got backed up is this:

oil feed too big while oil return is too small.

even oil feed (-4an on honda) with a -10an return, will ---- up your turbo.

the reason mine works is because i use -3an which is the STOCK diametere of the stock metal oil feed on the subaru

plus you guys always throw away the damn BANJO fittings which act as a restrictor, i kept mine and i had no probs from day one. don't throw away those banjo and force fit some npt fittigns, if it came with one, it came with a reason.

i'm an computer engineer and in engineering, we create certain parts or sections for a reason, even if it "kinda" works if you take that part out, we put it there for a reason.

just like how the honda engineers rerouted the valve cover breather into the intake track, thus using vaccumm to suck out air. Sure you can use a breather, and it does work, but eventually you get blowby due to rings/valves being not sealed properly because no vacuum draws the air out of the crankcase.
