Default help with vacum hoses

hey fellas im turboing my ek civic with a TD04L and was wondering what the cheapest (not caring about looks) options is for intercooler piping (not running intercooler as im only pumping 5psi)...

can I source out some normal radiator hoses from local auto barn and run them from turbo to intake with help of very secure clips?

i think it's not too good for the future of this site to flame noobs like that.

I am no important or relevant person on here but as far as i'm concerned, noobs are welcome.

Yes, autoparts vacuum hose is ok to hookup wastegate and bov. Just make sure you don't get the tiny winshield washer size. I prefer small fuel hose. it's around 1/8" id.

The cheapest ic piping is having some exhaust pipes crush bent at your local muffler shop. You paint it to avoid rust.

Next step above for better quality is to order mandrel bent ones anywhere. i do have a local shop with a 800 000$ mandrel bender supplying me the elbows for very cheap.

WTF are you talking about blast? Did you even hear what he said? Using vacuum hoses as intercooler piping? Maybe he was thinking of radiator hoses but still.. All the information is here. This is the third thread he made asking stupid *** ----. What else can we do?? Build him the ------- turbo kit, install it, and drive it for him??

Yes by "vacuum hose" he's probably talking about the bigger rubber hoses that are used to carry boost on factory cars such as volvos, saabs and volks. The answer is YES in theory but these hoses are pre formed for a specific setup and are way small. i would never use that for a HMT. It would be a lot of trouble for a result that sucks. But who knows... i have seen flexible factory boost hoses that are 2 1/4" and that could be used in most setups. Too bad, I don't remember which car they came from. Maybe a volvo 760...

Yeah, if he's really thining to use vacuum hoses to cary boost, that's not noob...it's plain stupid.

shut the ---- up already nobody gives a ---- about your guessing, stock charge pipes are not called vacuum line and noobs will continue to get flamed.. of course we help them eventually but the flaming is important to weed out the homo's but obviously its not working for you. just buy a piping kit with couplers off ebay for 80 bucks

ahh you kids with no jobs or a real education and just work on cars are funny...

thanx I appreciate you providing a real answer (BLAST) but i think people come on a site named "home made turbos" knowing their dealing with the poorest skumiest of people compared to other normal forum people....

Im asking for knowledge and to know all my options, i wont be taking this path u homos but just want to know because my audi has all its intercooler piping using radiator hoses (stock from factory setup)

I DID SAY RADIATOR HOSES!!!! (what that doesnt say edited?)

hey fagots can u tell me what a exhaust is please?

LOL you're a little bitch. Radiator hoses are designed to carry hot liquid at pressure. So - Audi doesnt use radiator hose for charge piping. They use hose designed for carrying hot AIR. Good luck finding a radiator hose long enough to reach from the turbo to your intake. Vacuum hose is normally of smaller diameter designed to carry pressure/vacuum signals.

BTW - I'm not a kid, I have been a software developer for 8+ years and I'm a homeowner. You're just ------- clueless when it comes to cars and you want us to hold your hand and spoon feed you the information on how to do it.

We're cheap and poor and homos? You're the one wanting to run radiator hose instead of steel or aluminum, not running an intercooler, and only wanting 5psi. Yay all that work for 30-50hp. I hope your oil return falls off. :1
