You can buy this thing called a compression tester at most automotive stores. They are about 30 Dollars, check one out and holla back nigga whoop whoop.

this was froma bad valve cover gasket got oil all all in my cylinders (lots of it, like lots lots lots) and i think some oil still might be burning off

my plugs were comppletly soaked in oil. when i took the plugs out oil was about a quarter way filling up in the head. the valve cover gaskets were completly ---- theres even oil in the plug wires...

ok you cover up the hose off of the valve cover.. we get that...

where does the oil come out at exactly???

they are telling you ringlands because of the excessive blow-by that you are describing... we need to know, where the oil comes out of when you cover up the breather hole

ok.. i just read it again and he said that oil is coming out of the turbo oil return, i think thats correct.... what was the ring gap??? thats blow-by. you are pressurising the oil system.... either busted ringlands or a really fucked up piston ring gap. i really hope that you installed the rings right and clocked each one

it looks like its dripping out of the oil return.

BUT it wouldnt take much for it to drip out of there because its a shitty old silicone seal that i have going out there.. there isnt any kinda gasket

you're not reading, how are you going to get pressure and white smoke in your crankcase at idle? (if you hook a vac line up wrong during boost you can pressurize your crankcase also but I doubt you're sticking your finger over a hose under your hood while driving)

You've left with nothing but combustion escaping the cylinder via means it should not be doing, via headgasket or more likely through the piston or rings etc. headgasket would hit the water jacket first and cause overheating issues before it reaches the crankcase.

So get off the internet if you know what's wrong with your car and fix it, stop asking what's wrong if you know everything. Or go and do a compression test and leakdown test and see how you're getting pressure in wrong parts of your 'new' engine.

You're engine should not be getting a ton of blowby unless maybe it was built with huge tolerances for huge power, or something is not right. I'm not schooled on how a huge power build behaves, but none of my honda engines had excessive smoke from the breather until I cracked a ringland or outright broke a piston.

But you said it gets worse when you plug the breather. All that oil and ---- on your plugs and in your cylinders and around your plug wires will still not affect the smoke coming out of your breather. It will cause smoke out your exhaust etc.
