The easiest way to turbo a carburated engine is a "Draw through design" where the carburator is mounted on the intake side of the turbo. If you know how to tune a carburator, all you need is a wideband to get started. But i seriously doubt that the stock carb has big enough jets to supply the engine with the required amount of fuel needed for a turbo motor. Look into a aftermarket carb, with choices on jets, multiple pumps, dual float design. Some things you might want to think about - due to the fact that you cant control duty cycle like an EFI setup your motor will run pig right until you are at WOT and full boost. This means poor poor poor gas mileage. also alot of fab work for the carb and setup.also you cant run a standard FMIC because the gas will collect in the intercooler, But there is hope for an intercooler like an "air to water intercooler. (more expensive but needed when running upwards in boost). There are some other pro's and cons. but mostly if you decide to go through with this please keep us informed. It would be nice to see a carb Turbo ISUZU. :6

hell yeah, I have a trooper thats the same engine - 2.3 bbl, I'd like some boost to help pull the engine I pickup for work.
