Hey,
Ive got this setup on a D16Z6 Civic and its nearly ready to be started up. I just need the chaip from john vega but hes telling me that its tricky to make a basemap for the omni power 4bar map sensor and that i should use the stock sensor if im only boosting 6-8psi. But i dont wanna do that after paying for the 4 bar sensor, so should i just boost higher? will the car take it?
Help will be appreciated from those who maybe use the omni power sensors, Thanks

yeah put the stock map back in and put up the 4bar in the classifieds/ebay

 

sell the 4 bar run the stocker and remember d-series + 10lbs = turn ya out.

 

Well ive not finished the project yet. Ive got 2 chips - 1 from xenocron - Which they mentioned nothing about the omni power 4Bar when ordering.
And ive also got a chip from phearable saying run the stock MAP.

So which option shall i use?

 

from the basemap page:
"***I recommend Basemaps ONLY be made for stock Honda map sensors. Larger map sensors should be setup by your tuner at the time of your tuning for safety."

...anyway, if its already installed, you can try the chip that was made for the 4 bar. It sure as hell wont be spot on, but you never know. Either way you need to get tuned, but a basemap for a stock map sensor is most likely going to be closer to ideal. Add in the fact that you dont need that 4 bar and you can sell it...and i think you know what to do.
