Looks to me like you removed the 4 bolts that hold the backplate to the center cartridge. When you did that the thrust bearing which is held in place by 2 pins and a spring in the backplate, jumped up over the pins and is causing your binding problem. You may be able to wiggle the backplate around and try to get the bearing to slide back over the pins but it is doubtful that it will work. The next thing is to mark the wheels to the center cartridge so you keep the balance and remove the compressor nut, wheel, and backplate reset the thrust bearing and bolt the backplate back to the center cartridge, then reinstall the compressor wheel, lining it up with the marks you made before you took it off, and reinstall the nut. Where you screwed up was you weren't supposed to clock the backplate, you were supposed to clock the compressor housing. This is a 5 min fix if you have ever taken a turbo apart before, if not, then overthinking will make it take longer.

I'll take it for cheap if you are selling it.

This is a Turbonetics T3 turbo with the blue plate obviously. I rotated the side with the blue plate and now it would not spin. Before it spun freely without any forcing of the blades. I could lightly touch it and it'll spin. Now I have to really force it just so it'll spin. If anyone knows what's wrong with this, please give some imputs. Otherwise, i'll just end up selling it if I can.
Did you remove the 4 bolts that thread into the blue plate to try and clock the turbo?

PROBLEM SOLVED!!! Damn I feel like an idiot. The problem was because I didn't tighten up the four bolts on the center all the way. Geezz...lol...Well, thanks a lot for the help guys. You saved me a trip to the Diesel shop and a phone call and possibly money for something so simple. The rods not bent and the shaft spins freely again. Well, hopefully no one else makes this kind of mistake. Here are the after pics of it together...brand spankin new and shiny
