HELP!!! My turbo stopped spinning!!! *(PICS INSIDE)*
I had nothing to do today so I decided to mess around with my turbo and tried clocking it. I didn't want to touch the exhaust side so i messed with the other side. The cmopressor?? You know, the side that's connected to the intercooler pipe. Well, after rotating it to my desired spot, i rebolted it. Having done all that, i tried to spin it, and S#!T, it wouldn't spin. If I force it, it will spin, but not freely. What's wrong with it? Please help, I don't want to take it to a shop if it's not that big of a problem. Plus, i will be using it in about two weeks. Any ideas
I redid it and still not spinning. The reason why I'm so confused is that I didn't even pull the housing off. All I did was unbolt it and turned it about 35 degrees and then back to where it was originally.
is it overtightend
take it off and inspect it...there has got to be a reason to why it stopped spinning...if it spun freely before and now it doesnt then u kno its something u did...take it off and inspect the ---- out of it

Well my guess with out much info or pics is you clocked the compresso housing and since you didn't remove it you bunched the gasket up that is inbetween the housing and backing plate and the housing isn't sitting flush and it is pinching the wheel...take the housing off clean off the old gasket and replace it
exhaust housings are particularly picky, they always need to be tightened like 1 turn in one corner, then 1 turn in the opposite corner type of stuff... but ive never had a compressor housing get funky like that but im sure its possible. Loosen it up and try again
it still would not spin after retrying it. How do i post pics up? I have a digital camera, but have no clue how to post pics. This sucks! Oh, by the way, it's a T3 Turbonetics Turbo 57 trim.
