Default help me out a bit....

ok i finally got my car all together and i just wanted to ask a few questions: when i fire it up, at idle there is 18 vacuum, is that normal? and when i rev it up i can get it to go to about 0 but that's it, now i know it's not really supposed to make any boost without any load on the motor, but i would think it would make at least a pound or two: mainly because when i rev it up i can get my wastegate to open.

now i can't drive it because i don't have any fluid in the tranny, so right now i'm just guessing as to what it might be, also- the bov and boost gauge can be on the same vacuum line right?

any ideas would be great....

EDIT: also, what size should the vacuum line be from the bov? can it be smaller or does it have to be the same size that you need to fit over the snout on the bov?

Sounds normal. It is pretty hard to spool a turbo at idle unless the turbo is small. I wouldn't recommend trying that anymore. You might have a leak or maybe the wastgate is slightly open already? Put some ------- fluid in the tranny and go for a ride.

as far as the smart *** comments, wtf, is that piece of ----, are you a florida gators fan or something

as far as your turbo, you won't really know until you take it for a drive, it won't boost unless it has a load, in other words, no, you're not going to see boost just from revving.......
