Help me i.d. this please.
All i know is that its off a renault 18 turbo............

At first glance it looks like a T3 .42/.48 are there any numbers inside the housings to tell you the A/Rs? If it is what I think it is, the wastegate is set at ~8 psi. What time is it in England now?

On the exhaust housing= 22KO
Back of inlet housing is= 7.700.671.051 = 465544-2 =AC0184 Oil inlet= a outlet= m/w depending on what way round it is, thats all i can find at the minute. |

def looks like a .42/.48 t3... great turbo for a stock z6... made 217 whp @ 10.5 on one... it looked nearly identical to that one

yeah.. it looks it... although it maybe a 45 trim instead of the 50 trim mine is... either way... both will get you your goals

Nice thanks for the help, ive still got a lot of ---- to gather before i can start fitting stuff, and i need to find someone to do some welding,
So far up to now for the turbo, intercooler, dump valve, steel plate for adapter its cost like £75 english pounds. no bad considering i could get a half complete ebay kit for £600pound lol. |

word, got my 42. 48. from a volvo for $50 from the junkyard with a garrett rebuit tag and had a friend machine down the stupid recessed exhaust inlet down for $10.

That's right. That turbo could be a .36/.42 also. It's unlikely because all the .36 hotsides I've seen had that funky external wastegate off the exhaust housing like the Mercedes turbos, but I remember some of the Renault turbos had a .36 hotside, or maybe that was Peugeot. Either way it's a 45 trim T3. Definitely perfect for a small displacement 4-banger with horsepower goals in the 200hp> range. You should be able to get your 170whp easily with a proper tune, proper fuel support, and no leaks.
