help me firure out who made this turbo
 

So a guy owed me some money and let me have his 240 as payment the car has a blown ca18det swap and some other misc parts like this turbo and a what i beleive is a ssauto ram manifold. At the moment i'm just trying to figure out what this turbo is off ,and no manufacuer name anywhere all it has is a plate that says

TURBOCHARGER
TYPE: TO4E
PARTNO: T3/T4-1
SEIRIALNO: KD0700866

the comperssore says A/R .60 and the exhaust says A/R .63

it is an ebay POS...

guy said he put 10k on the turbo but it's is in great shape ,no shaft play or chipped fins but it could be a decent quality turbo from ebay if they exist lol

he paid 10k pennys for that turbo. LOL

is on the turbo ???

i have run an egay 275$ t3/t4 for like 20k miles on my audi and it doesnt smoke at all and boosts great

What the fuss about? If you do your research you would never end up with a off brand turbo. I got generic SS turbo on a car. We put 20K on that bad boy no issues, No smoke low boost Cheers

It is china town built and is from ebay, if it went 10k I hope that you dont plan on using it for more than 1k, and especially that you paid less than 30 dollars for it.

yep ching chong meow turbo. built by some 5 yr old Asian getting paid in rice.

I saw a site awhile ago that rebuilds those things with suposedly better parts better parts, but I've never heard anything about how well the hold up after.

not a bad turbo IMO...

Now, don't get me wrong, I bought Holsets for my rig, but, with that being said, how many of you previous posters have ACTUALLY BOUGHT an ebay turbo AND had it blow up. I dont mean your friends moms dogs brothers uncles ebay turbo. YOUR Ebay turbo. I'm curious. I see this come up all the friggin time and no one ever seems to be able to say first person.
