Default help identify my t3

thing is pretty massive. has a .42 on the compressor housing, cant remember the exh. housing side. i'll get it later today when i get home...anyone have an idea? i'll post a pic later tonight too. i just want to know what kind of car it came off of.

Pretty massive huh? Sounds like a saab turbo. Probably a 42 or 50 trim compressor wheel with a .48 ar turbine. Good for 700hp if you have jdm headlights.. 250 hp if not. Sorry.

.42 massive? mine came with a .60 compressor and a.48 turbine.

Mine came with a .60 compressor and .48 ar also, but mine came off of a Ford. Probably either a T bird or a Mustang. Not exactly sure which.

should be a mustang, the t-birds came with a smaller IHI turbo.

Looks like a Chrysler product.

The O2 housing matches, as does the EGR and .42 compressor.

Spooled good and low on a A6. medium compressor.

That is definetly a Dodge K car turbo, not a bad unit,a true T3, just hard to fit on a Honda, or any motor with a front monted exhaust manifold. The Dodge engine had the exhaust on the back of the block, so the down pipe/O2 housing faces to the rear, if you mount it on the front of the motor it points at the block, turn it around and it points at the radiator. You can take this piece off and make an adapter plate to go in its place for your down pipe but then you have to run an external waste gate, the waste gate flaper is in the downpipe/O2 housing. And no other T3 flaper will fit the Dodge housing, the bolt paturn is diferent, the mounting flange is wierd also, not a standard T3 flange.

Let me help clerify you. TBirds and Mustangs used Garretts. The Ford Probe used the IHI.

i was already planning utilizing a tial wastegate, how do i go about taking off the internal wastegate though? just remove it? do i have to do anything else? basically what im saying is what all do i have to do to make it work? i've got an HF manifold and i just ordered a t3 adapter plate, but i have to finish the bolt patterns on the plate. its basically just a 3/4" hunk of mild steel...
