help with block clearance

whats up guys i'm new to the world of FI, i'm boosting my b7 and want to use a small turbo, but not like as small as a t25. my two prime candidates right now are a garrett .42/.48 t3, and a dsm 14b. which would be easier to work with, as far as block clearance, downpipe fabrication, charge pipe location, etc. (for the t3 do you just get an adapter that hooks up to the square 4-bolt pattern with a rounded pipe?) i'm gonna be internally wastegated at 7-9psi, depending on the wastegate actuator i get with it. thats using a a hf/std/c/vx manifold (which of these is best for my app, i know there are some subtle differences but as far as flow, runner length, which is the best?), and a 7x30x5 johnnyracecar.com front mount. it looks to me like the 14b is gonna be the easiest to make adapter plates for, but the compressor outlet means i'm gonna have to come up and u-bend back down to the lower section of the front bumper. the t3 doesn't look as bad, just the square exhaust housing is weird. is there any way i can angle the turbo to make the bend for the charge piping easier, maybe using some kind of adapter plate to angle the turbo?

what t3 are you looking at that has a square 4 bolt pattern? the only ones ive seen with that exhaust pattern dont have internal gates :-\...anyway, either turbo would be easy to run piping for, you can spin the compressor housing to get everything to line up better, look at other peoples setups

check the faq...depends on the turbo, most have a few bolts that need to be loosened, others have a snap ring
