help with 94 accor

hello,
im new to this forum completly,
im good with the cb7 accords, just picked up a mint 1994 accord lx
and been looking around some, to someone that knows are you still able to use the dsm setup on these?
and are people still able to use dsm injectors on these cars?
any help id greatly like as id like to get this car boosted soon,
and no its no huge plans id be totally happy with 6psi all day long

Re: help with 94 accor

Yes to DSM injectors, intercooler, and BOV. Manifold is a no go though, f22b2 port spacing is different.

You say you'll be happy with 6 psi, but you won't be for long, I promise :)

Re: help with 94 accor

im just making sure as i have had this car a total of 1 day, the 94 accord is still ob1 right? im sure it is just making sure
and yeah i wont be to happy ill want 8 psi haha
but seriously i have a 16psi built ls/vtec eg civic to race around with, i just want something that can keep up with traffic a lil more and amaze some guy getting beat by a maroon 4 door honda on steelies

Re: help with 94 accor

Yes it's OBD1..... You have a built LS-Vtec and didn't know that? And you also think 8 psi will be much better than 6?

Re: help with 94 accor

the only manifold you can't use the the DSM manifold on is the f22b1 be one the port is 0--00--0 the other f22 motors are 0-0-0-0 the Dsm manifolds will fit O0

Re: help with 94 accor

no a 2psi boost will not change anything really well to be honest ill never feel it but if i run just a 14b turbo it will be factory boost so 8 il be happy with,
and just wondering when i doing tuning what ecu to run, but ill find out whats in there today when i strip the interior to clean everything

Re: help with 94 accor

awesome thanks,
anyways if anyone is building or knows of manifold for the f22b2 engine to fit a 14b that would be awesome

Re: help with 94 accor

for your f22b2 you can use a DSM manifold and 14b alls ya gotta do is redrill one hold for the manifold to fit...1g manifold by the way..

Re: help with 94 accor

so what the ex f22b2 can use the dsm mani?
is it only the f22b1's that cant?
this is confusing ive been told that the dsm manifold wont work at all

Re: help with 94 accor

You CANNOT use the dsm manifold on any f sdeies that has a B denoted in the engine code... PERIOD. The center exhaust ports are siamesed together and the spacing is TOTALLY off.

You need a custom built manifold. There is no shortcut.

AS far as ECUS any chipped OBD1 honda ecu will work. I cant remember if the b2 has IABS or not, so youll have to look into that, If it does, a chipped P72 will allow you to utilize them. or take them out. ---- it.

THE DSM MANIFOLD WILL NOT FIT.

Re: help with 94 accor

its a non IABS but anyways probably gonna have to pull the head off, since fixing the exhaust have a slight idle miss, not ignition, so thinking valve miss # leakdown on the exhaust side wasnt so happy but wasnt that bad only 16% loss but dont know if i really wanna do a full custom setup on this motor when its weak, anyways thanks so much for who has helped steer me in a direction,
right now just checking around edmonton ab or where ever to get a h22a motor and assembly, then go from there(big maybe though) just checking what i can do right now, as looking around f22b2's around here are hard to get, but i dont know how hard the swap is

You're going to fork out some major dollars for a manifold for your f22b2. I paid 250 for mine. Here's my setup on my Accord.

Attachment 17777

Look at how close the spacing is between the two middle exhaust ports. 0--0-0--0.

Re: help with 94 accor

well anyways was gonna just do a swap, but a friend convinced me otherwise so this weekend we pulled the head, put cleaned up all the valves cause they were built up with carbon badly, did a valve job and thought i might have to do guides but they were good,
so saturday finished that up, then ordered parts that afternoon haha
anyways i bought a set of dsm 450 injectors, bought a turbo smart pro gate, found a good old volvo turbo and have a older nissan 300zx turbo so decide what i wanna use, then i have from my old turbo setup a ebay special fmic and a old volvo turbo i/c,
then a few other parts i gotta choose from, got a stock 1g dsm bov, stock r32 skyline bov, and a old hks bov,

anyone have anything else they can suggest?
i emailed spec about choosing a clutch, but been hearing centerforces df is a good clutch for low boost? im hoping to run about 8psi

My ceramic coated LSD motorsports "mini"... They only made a few of them... Think I paid 350 and it made GREAT power....

If you can track one down... Excellent manifold

Re: help with 94 accor

yeah i have been looking around the forum and a few other places and have heard about them, but lsd doesnt make them and looks like so hard to find,
if i can find one that would be amazing, they look like a good manifold

I don't know if you can view this for sale thread but he's been trying to sell it for a while. It's exactly what you're looking for.
