Default help!!!

96 civic hatch
d16y7
obd2

hf manifold with adaptor plate
mitsubishi te04h turbo
downpipe
hks ssqv bov
10:1 vortec fmu
ghetto as a muthafucka intercooler piping (getting fixed today)
princess auto boost gauge
5 ft, of steel braided oil lines
high pressure high heat rubber return line

so last night we put ill together HMT style.
our boost guage reads -10 @ idle.

ok so, our vacuum lines. fmu is isolated to the vaccum source of the fuel rail.
We put a check valve on between TB and map sensor.
waste gate runs to the turbo.
vacuum line T off to the bov and boost guage then to the check valve which in turn is connected to the map sensor. (as stated above)

mechanically were ok, as for the vac lines we're iffy.
car idles really low, we can't hit boost and we're completly out of ideas
help would be apreciated asap!

thanks in advance
-marty

run the wastegate vacuum to the fuel pressure regulator, as well as the bov vacuum line...chip the ecu and get rid of the fmu..take out the check valve, unless your going to run more than 12 psi on obd2 if i remember right..you dont need the check valve unless your running more than that. try the vacuum lines first, the fmu is ok i guess for making sure you at least can check everything and make sure your creating boost. for tuning purposes tho-the fmu must go..in the future id get a obd2-obd1 conversion harness and run a p28 ecu, chip it and tune it with crome. Or if you dont know how, find someone who can tune crome.

you could have a nice boost leak as well. try the vacuum lines routed the correct way first..then thats not an issue anymore, then check all your piping for leaks.

sounds like you have the check valves wrong. they should not be in-line to the map.
they should be T'd off of the hose going to the map.
they will bleed positive pressure going to the map.

you should be getting -20vac at idle.

for the boost gauge and bov, isolate that line to the intake mani.
don't use the hose with the check valves.

ok so last night we changed all of our charge piping, we removed the intercooler for now, redid all the vacuum lines, at idle we DO have -20....but as soon as we try to apply the gas pedal, the car chugs, and the rpms will not go up.... this is whith the check valves installed.... so we removed the check valves.. and it idles fine, but we get a cel.... we can drive the car, but as soon as we hit boost.... or 3psi, the car(stops sending gas?) and its like its hitting revlimit, we where told that it was becase our stock map sensor doest recognize boost, and once it sees boost it goes crazy... and the same person that told us this told us that we wiould need a "missing link" for the map sensor, and that check valves would not work... because we have obd2....

96 civic hatch d16y7 any suggestions? will any "missing link" work? .... oh and when we had the check valves connected we had them connectedstraight from the vacuum source to the check valve, and from the check valve to the map sensor... we even tried 2 check valves.... any comments?

The check valves are supposed to bleed off the boost pressure going to the MAP. That's what the missing link would do so the check valves are an HMT missing link. Now the reason why your car bogs without it when you hit boost is because the honda factory fuel map doesn't go into boost it goes to 0.3psi ish. The FMU will work for now but I'd suggest getting chipped. Search the for sale forums and you can find yourself a cheap chipped ECU.

Proper fuel management is the way to go if you want your engine to last any length of time. Eg. DSM Injectors, Chip, Tune with crome, 255lph pump.

Don't put them inline. Also, how much boost you plan to run?
I did a quick search for check valves using this google search:
