Default Hello.

Hi guys. I got referred here from customcivics.com

Im a daily driver of a 96 civic sedan with d16y7. i'm looking for a little more power, and like everyone here I love boost. I'll be hopefully getting it done this summer (I'm in school right now) and hope to find this site a helpful resource.

I was first looking at getting an Edelbrock kit althought they are built for the Y8, I'd have to make some adjustments and i wouldnt be able to use the intake
manifold they provide. but isntead i'm hopefully gonna try to build a DIY b/c that edelbrock costs one lucky penny. I was just curious, do u think its possible to run around 15's with a sedan under 8-10psi with a t3/t4 turbo? thats what i'm thinking of getting. Im not too woried about having the fastest car, i just crave a litle more than 106bhp. surely u know what i mean, i would just like a reference time that people typically can expect with a boosted sedan (dont worry i'm not the type of guy to floor it at every light, i'm just curious)

thx,

Ahmed.

15's, wow. Talk about your low goals.

You'll be getting much faster than 15's with 8 psi on basically any turbo on that engine :P

You can build a kit for well under a grand and get you into the 15's. If your not a stupid ----, you could probably go faster. Read up on BBKA's motor, stock internaled.

Yeah, if you spend ur money right and can fab some ---- urself you coulf easily have a kit for $600-$700 maybee less that would be capable of faster than 15sec.

well i'm willing to spend about 1500. less would be nicer, however.

i'm pretty sure i can get everything done myself. i might need some help with the fuel management though.
