Heat Soak???
Ok heres the deal, I went to home depot to get some bolts for my manifold cause I had planed to put the turbo on today. NE way, I was indide for about 25 minutes and when I came out my car wouldnt start. I clicked once and that was it. I then noticed the battery was then completly draind. My mom came by and gave me a jump and I tried starting the car again but all that happens is the starter clicks but car wont start.I had this prob before and I still dont know whats causing it? After a while it would start but whats up? Im guessing maybe heat soak. The exhaust manifold was cool but the distributer and motot were hot as ----. NE ideas what it is? Is it just heat soak? what now? Thanx!
When you say click do you mean you can hear the starter rolling the engine over?
What are your average engine temperatures looking like? (Give an estimate from your EGT gauge) are you running close to the red? If you're in the middle you should be okay for a start up. I would say you might need to replace the battery, or check to see if there is a shitty ground in the car or something like that.
Also, if you give it a little bit of throttle when you're trying to roll the engine over does it help?
