headwork on 190ish whp setup worth it?

ok so currently the car has 187whp on a greddy 15G ushing 13PSI (not tuned very well)

I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on headwork for me....I found a guy on that's willing to do the following:

either a
Stage 3:
Porting intake/porting-polishing exhaust
Disassembly
Fully cleaned
Head checked for flatness
Ported intake/ported-polished exhaust
New OEM valve seals
New OEM cam seals
Re cleaned
Reassembled

or a stage 4
Stage 4: Cylinder head porting:
Cleaned
Porting intake
Porting/polishing exhaust and combustion
Gasket matching in/ex
Gasket surfaces smoothed
Re-cleaned
Head checked flatness

and also

Intake manifold porting with Hondata gasket
Gasket matched

TB to 65mm

Supertech valvesprings,retainers, valves

3 angle valve job

for about 1200.

I would also get a zex/comp 59300 cam 2 the same time.

I'm wondering how much more efficient that would make the setup....my goal is to make 200whp on as little boost with the broadest powercurves possible while the block is still stock and then 250-300whp after I get some LS rods and vitara pistons

currently it has greddy log manifold
greddy interally WG turbo
Greddy elbow(1.75" outlet)
Greddy DP(1.75"outlet)
2.5" exhaust
2.5" charge piping
good sized FMIC
every thing else is stock

car will soon be getting:
Neukin AX manifold
a custom 3" turbo back exhaust
retune @ like 8 psi to full potential

Like I said I want to make 200ish whp on as little boost as possible so I'm just looking everywhere I can think of to get better power ;)

any help/insight is greatly appreaciated

lmao, um id spend that 1200 on well id take 350 of it and get a good tune, and you would be over 200whp, You could even take the remaining 850 and get your self a biger turbo..

But to answe your question, to do that extensive of a head build would be a waste of money of a project shooting for 200 hp. Get a good tune and you can make your goal easy

If you have future plans of making 300+whp its not a bad idea

basically it all boils down to the future. if your plan on keeping the car or staying with honda's and this is what you want then go for it. if your like most people where your going to run into money troubles or sell the car for something else then money wise it probably wont be worth it. me being the jew i am would just keep the money for the time being and spend it on a tune to help smoooth things out and for better reliability. if you have the money and want "stage 4 action" then do it.

thanks for the replies. yeah I really cant see myself wanting more than 300whp after I build up the motor, but ya never know LOL....boost is seriously some fun ---- to play around with.

already has hondata s200 so a retune would only be 150....believe me I'm planning on that after I get a new DP and mani. ;)

ok dude i have the same goals as you. the first thing i would do is get a good tune. i made 197whp on a stock y7 and 10Ibs of boost. i would go with vitaras with tuner toy rods. cheap and reliable. then maybe a different turbo setup. good luck with whatever you do.

build the bottom of the motor before the top.

Thanks for the replies....this is just the spare head getting built, it will not be put to use until the shortblock is done.

either LS rods and vitaras or if the guy can come through for me, arias and eagles.

Retune is DEFINATLY the first thing I'm gonna be doing to the motor....maybe next week/2 weeks from now.

vitaras, tuner toys rods, balanced lower end, oem headgasket, arp head studs, oem bearings, lsd clutch, holset (or larger turbo), big injectors and a good tune, ------- fun build.

thats what my next build will be.
