i just finished doing mine today.

it's not that bad of a job, but you have to remove a few things that you might overlook the first time.

gogle might have something for you to look at.

P.S. don't forget the bracket on the underside of the intake manifold.

I went on Ebay and bought a civic Honda service manual on CD for $5, it had EVERYthing step by step in it how to do it. as well at 1200 pgs of how to take apart your car bolt by bolt! It ended up taking me 10hrs to do the HG.

10hrs for a HG??? Wow hope you're not on book rate.

Prep: buy six pack and drink one beer per step.

Step #1 take off gay IM bracket and throw in trash.

Step #2 remove Exhaust Mani

Step #3 loosen tensioner on Timing belt, slip off cam gear (all set to TDC of course)

Step #4 take dizzy out of head, leave plug wires on dizzy. Remove all plugs connected to the head

Step #5 remove valve cover and unbolt the head, remove

Step #6 remove old HG and clean surfaces.

Step #7 put new HG on and replace everything else.

Estimated time: 90 minutes tops (depending on alcohol content of beer).

Re:Head Gasket Replacement

yeah.... after you take off all of the exhaust manifold, timing belt, head bolts & etc. , and the damn thing still doesn't come off, make sure you unbolt that damn intake manifold bracket.

And definitely resurface the head.... you already have it off... it only cost like $40.
