HeaD GaskeT....????

i was wondering if you would need any old head gasket or a turbo head gasket , if you were running turbo.... my application is small, 18g in a 89 Civic Hatch.......... pushing 6 lbs............ because my car overheats sometimes..... wierd..........

Any head gasket will work fine. If you have a lot of money to play with get the Greddy 2mm. They are pricey though. You don't really need it unless you want to turn the boost up a bit.

a turbo sure wont fix that cooling problem you have... it will make it worse, you should fix that before starting the turbo project.

Fix the problem at hand. Change the thermostat and check your water pump, and old head gasket. If you put in the turbo and buy a knew head gasket without fixing, well say bye,bye new head gasket. Does your car smoke?

I'm thinking it's air bubbles in the cooling system.

How well does changing the thermostat fix "overheating problems"?

My car also seems to be overheating, and I've just bought a colder thermostat (-20 DEG F), and a "water-wetter"...

My car doesn't overheat in traffic or city driving...
It only overheats when I push it on the highway for like 30+ seconds...

Will the "colder" thermostat, a "water-wetter" and a more diluted coolant-water mix solve that problem, or do I need to look into changing my rad? (It's a stock '95 Si one).

Who's running a "beefed-up" and who's running a "stock" radiator with an IHI RHB5 oil-water cooled turbo setup here?

i owudl go with a DOHC VTEC del Sol radiator. it is 2 core and the stock one yoiu are using is 1 core. if you have replaced the therm. then that would be my next step if you have checked everything else.
