sent my head to the shop and cant remember if it had dowel pins in it...does it require them and how many were there?
its a y8 head on a y7 block

u need them to align the headgasket/head and block

where can i get them....only honda?
just looked at the gasket....2 hole bigger in the back

when i lost mine i think i used the one from the tanny...
as long as it sits flush and NOT TOO LONG that it keep the head from ""mating"" with the block.

 

just get 2 new ones from honda

and yes the tranny ones are the same ----

 

well guess what?....had two old trannys laying around that had exactly 2 dowells
works fine!
