i use a mitsu td04L off 2002 wrx. works very well. fully spooled by 3k-3.5k and holds all the way to fuel cut at 7.2k on my d16y7...10-11psi btw.

i have the same turbo TDO4L, and like scttydb411 said I have full boost around 3.5K rpms and holds it all the way through redline.

Re:has anyone used a mitsu tdo4 turbo

I'm using the tiny td04 on my 1.8L 1999 Corolla and it pulls max boost early on. It's kind of abrupt when the turbo kicks in though: I have an auto and I can't floor it because the tires will spin when the turbo kicks in, in first gear (when I'm already moving)! Some Azenis tires should fix that problem :P. And this is at 6.5 psi. I rode in my friend's 2002 Corolla (same engine) with a larger turbo setup and it's very different, you have to wait for the onset of power, but when it finally kicks in you can feel the g-forces in your neck. It depends on what you prefer.
