Re:has anyone done posting to their b series?????
20 psi is a lot of freakin boost, to run that your gonna have to get those darton forged cylinder sleeves-very expensive, foraged pistons and rods-very expensive, some type of programmable ECU-expensive, for 20 psi u gotta run race gas all the time-very expensive.

Re:has anyone done posting to their b series?????
I'm not trying to disrespect what you just said "anothercivicsi", because it's all true. But to run 20psi you don't really need sleeves. On our single cam race car we run stock block bored .020 over and just an STR block guard, and we've been running 28psi to that motor for over a year now. No problems at all. But that Accel DFI definatly has something to do with it. ;D

Re:has anyone done posting to their b series?????
but you still need internals

Re:has anyone done posting to their b series?????
i posted a ls block... it was a pain. have someone weld in a blockguarg for you... use one with larger coolant passages, and have it one prior to the machine work to accept the toughend internals. its cheaper and better than the posts

Re:has anyone done posting to their b series?????
How is it better than the posts? Can you give us some insight?
It seems to me that with the right tools posting a block shouldn't be very hard. Cutting through some of the external webbing to drill looks like a PITA if you don't have the tools. |
Re:has anyone done posting to their b series?????
I'm going to be doing a incar install of some "Pin/Posts" for my Ls/Vtec very soon...
I'll take some pics.. Jeff |
Re:has anyone done posting to their b series?????
jefff are u gona use the same measurements from the d series as far the distance from the top and bottom of the cylinder??..............u gonna install them with the block on the car??..........dammmmm.....let us know how it went>>>>>>>ps im trying to do this to my block ass well ;D

Re:has anyone done posting to their b series?????
the welding was a real pain... but i think Abaz;s are epoxied.it wasnt that hard to dril it, but if you do post it the block should be machined afterward, to compenstae for the way it can distort the cylinder bore.

Re:has anyone done posting to their b series?????
