turboing any kind of civic is pretty straightforward. Install turbo, find some way of flowing more fuel, and start car--Oh yeah and pray to the god of internal combustion that you hooked your ---- up correctly and isn't going to blow up ;D seriously your hx is not all that different from any other honda (civic) on here.

Yeah that^^^
the only difference of a y5 and a y8 or better yet most d series engines is the power output. The VTEC-E means I think energy efficient or some crap like that, your car is a little bit more friendly to the enviroment, that's it. As soon as you take out all of the factory pollution parts, you should be just like any other civic engine. Maybe you can even use an obd2 ECU from a y8 or even go OBD1 and get to the same power output as a y8. With that said, I've never worked on one of those specifically, but I don't see why it would make a difference.

It should be cake seeing how u should already have the exhaust manifold.
