as long as you have the bov no less than 1 foot away from the turbo you should have zero problems.

 

Wuh? I've never had my BOV's mounted that close to the turbo and have never had any problems. 99% of the setups I have seen have the BOV mounted about a foot away from the TB.

The theory is that you want it mounted as close to the throttle body as possible becuase that is where the highest pressure is when the throttle plate closes. I really don't think it matters where you mount it on your charge pipes becuase there is equal pressure going through the pipes and its all going to get relieved anyways.


I also think that recirculating the BOV back to the turbo isn't going to make a difference in spool time. I mean a short burst of air at 8psi traveling through a long pipe, its not going to make any difference in spool time

I don't know what all the hating is about, but I think it's a pretty hot setup. About the recirculating thing, who cares if it works or not, if he says it works then it probably does have some effect on it. I don't think he has a reason to lie or bullshit about this setup.

in theory, it seems to me like it would help maintaining the spool between gears. think about it, shifting gears takes like 1 second at the most, by the time you close the throttle plate and the bov releases the air and it has time to travel through the intake pipe (keeping the turbine spinning at a faster rate), you're more than likely already getting back on the throttle in the next gear. it seems like it would help to me. and yeah, the set up looks good, some of us know why the people in this thread are hating, and it's old news and as far as i'm concerned he has apologized for what was said a coule weeks ago. and another thing, who cares if bmc is comparing itself to full race, that's more or less their competition, and i see nothing wrong with pointing out if you think you do something better than competition in the same market. ---- full hype
