Default h23 junkyard turbo?

My buddy wants to do a junkyard turbo on his 93 Prelude. What parts can I use to do a junkyard set up?
Will dsm injectors still work in the car?

yup. i think a manifold is gonna be your hardest part...

Eclude y0. Or Evolude. Or PrEclipse. Whatever. A manifold will be easy as hell. H23 + F22 + 4g63 = the same exhaust port size and location. Minor mods will have to be done to get the studs to fit.

For true junkyard, gank a 2gDSM manifold, DSM 450 injectors and, of course, the turbo. Any wastegate will do, and you can weld a DSM BOV to your cold pipe. Run Uberdata/Hack/FPR (best to worst) for fuel. You won't need a resistor box (preludes are peak and hold), but a Walbro fuel pump is pretty much needed for fuel option 1 and 2. For the FMU, get an in-line booster. Grab any I/C you can, or nab a cheesy one from Custom Coach or Jhonny Racecar. JC whitney for the piping (or go true-ghetto home depot style). Muffler shop makes you a downpipe and you're done! If you went with the FMU, you need to buy a missing link/fish valves.

I'm doing it "high-budget" HMT style, so I nabbed an EVO t3 upgrade manifold from slowboyracing in order to accomodate my .60/.63. Tial wastegate, Greddy BOV, and PWR FMIC rounds out my upgrades to the "super-junkyard" setup.

check out the large *** accord dsm thread in this forum, should provide you with the info you need to know. Yes the H23 or F22a1 heads match up to the DSM manifolds, minor drilling required.

I wouldn't run an H23 anyways, those motors can't handle the boost, consider swapping in a F22a1 or build up a F22a1 with H23 head for some real fun

hmm someone on preludeonline.com tried this setup and said it PHYSICALLY WOULD NOT FIT.. the 14b hits the transmission, and filpped around, hits the AC.. I wonder if anyone has actually done this on here, or just saying "oh yea so and so did it and it will work.."

4g63 and the h23 can used the same manifold ? that mean if i buy a eclipse aftermarket manifold then it would fit into the h23 ? the bored of the f22 and h23 arent the same are they ?

well you have to reshape a couple of the holes on the manifold.. but besides that yea.. but if the turbo doesnt fit then what good will it do!!! lol..

I dont see how this setup could work on an F22, but not fit an H23, I'm sure the dimensions of the block/transmission are the same, or VERY close right?

how would I get the wastegate to open at 5 psi? bend/shorten the actuator rod?

i'm sure if someone said it they couldn't get it to fit without hitting the block, all you would prolly have to do is maybe grind out some of the webbing on the block.

it depends on what it's set at now. if it's higher than 5 psi and you're trying to lower boost, you need to lengthen the arm, if it's lower (which i doubt) and you're trying to raise boost, then you bend it to make it shorter.

H23 head fits on an F22A1? Is it that easy or is there some rediculous long process of making it fit?

why would u recommend a f22a1 over a h23? thats a down grade unless theres something im unaware of. if anything id throw a f22b dohc in there and boost that bitch, since the compression is about 9.2 instead of the 9.8 of the h23.
