Monitoring oil pressure can show big problems early on and possibly save a crank or rods before low oil pressure destroys them.
For me, I run a boost gauge and an oil pressure gauge. Two most important I think. Although I don't like the look of gauges and would prefer to run adjustable warning lights and buzzers.

Re: guage question
yea i have oil pressure, temp and voltage. a/f will be when on boost...along with a boost guage. at some point i will get a pyrometer, fuel pressure and oil temp later on....i like to know whats going on with my car. but yea id say oil pressure is more important than a/f
