I don't understand that, I kicked the ---- out of my brothers 2000 VR6 with just an LS VTEC! Seriously 10 or 12 car lengths, a boosted d15 should be about the same as an LS VTEC power wise. 1.8T are not that bad but I can still beat one of those as well. Maybe a driver problem lol

VR6's are faster than the 1.8t's my friend had a VW carrado with some new cams and exhaust and he was having engine problems and he traded it in for the new 2003 VW GTI 20th aniversary 1.8T and he swears that the VR6 was faster, all i know is that i raced his 1.8T and i absolutly desimated him, he was already behind me on 1st gear and from 2nd to 3rd to 4th i just gained and gained more distance between us, but they do have potential as "d16z64life" was saying.
the problem with the car is the turbo is too small and the intercooler gets heatsoaked really fast so the car gets slower and slower as you keep racing it. so if you ever see one on the road and you race him once and he beats you by a little tell him you want a rematch and by that time his car will be so ------- hot that you'll win.

coo..good to know man. First i gotta get this thing down about changing my fuel mangament, as u guys saw by my dyno chart, a lost a lot of top end power which would've help me beat that vr6. I mean my car pulls hard by mid-range then dies out, and that's not good.

There's another solution... Turn up the boost until it leans out to the perfect a/f ratio.. It seems you have a long way to go before that happens anyways... so why not!? We are running my friend d15b7 @ 11lbs for about a year and it's still going strong.

Good luck!

oh yeah, and if you do this, you won't have to worry about losing to many cars on the street anymore
