Re: GT35R
What makes a GT35r is the char. There are a lot of turbos in the world will flow the amount of air that the GT35r will. Hell, the SC61 will probably make a tad bit more power than the GT35r due to the larger turbine wheel. The GT35r's point of sale is transient response, but it comes at a high price tag. SC61, GT35e, Holset Hx35, hy35, 60-1, and even a T3/t04e 60 trims are all good turbos to look into that will provide similiar powerbands to the GT35r for about 60% of the price.

Whoa nelly ! I didin't realize thats what the were worth. It's just that I was over at Tapp Auto getting some tid bits for my GSR build and thats what Tapp used on his 596 hp GSR powered civic (11.2 @ 13 . I'm not looking for that kind of power but figured it might be a good idea to use the GT35r. I guess I'll probably go with th t3/to4e or 60-1. I'll probably hit close to 500hp on race fuel. I've already hit the 100mph club, now I whant to hit the 400hp club. I just wasn't sure where this turbo derived from. Now I know. Thanx for all the info.
