What is the spool on this turbo for a D16y7? I saw it said .80 A/R and isn't that huge? Also how much should these run for Brand new? let me know...

 

i believe the gts are ball bearing so u can run a much bigger one and u wont get to laggy

 

Ok, also if you had an opportunity to get a BRAND NEW garret T-25(claimed to fully spool at 1k) or a SLIGHTLY USED GT25R which would you get? Price difference is $100.

 

gt25r obviously, t25 is not full spool at 1k
that means ull be boosting when u idle... jesus

 

lol, just imagine the gas mileage if your motor is constantly boosting

 

i saw a brand new gt28 center section with shaft and wheels on ebay today go for 200 bucks, i should have got that ----

 

If you could get a SLIGHTLY used gt25r turbo for $400 would you?

 

maybe it was begins spooling at 1k

it depends on your power goals, gt25r's are only good up to about 250whp i believe, but yeah, that's not a bad price, i believe they go for around 7 or 800 bucks new. as long as i was sure of the condition and mileage and could see it personally before i paid for it.
