he asked in a public forum, and you should respond in the same one. Don't you want the others to know the prices?

(and no I'm not looking for a turbo, just stating the obvious)

Re:Group Buy: Precision Turbo's

whitey. i have done some checking around and cant find prices anywhere that low. That 595 shipped is for the sc model lineup except the sc63. most of the gt model lineup is a fair bit cheaper then that. Of course the gt ball bearing ones are more.

I am not running this group buy and I was asked to not post the prices so im just doing as i was told.

Are you ------- kiddng me? The lowest price I've ever been able to find on a Precision turbo is 650 shipped and that was through a buddy on HT. Show me where you can get them for 595 shipped, I'll buy one.

Re:Group Buy: Precision Turbo's

Thats a pretty good price. I paid $650 shipped for mine.

Re:Group Buy: Precision Turbo's

werd, $595 is a damn good price for a precision... almost as cheap as my used one... so what happened to those that already paid? they get their $ back?

lol, this guy's gonna run an fmu instead of uberdata just to save a couple bucks, i highly doubt he's gonna spend even 200 bucks on a turbo :P

exactly, some people don't realize that and take it upon themselves to add in extra costs. like this guy, he totaled up like over 350 bucks it was going to cost him to run uberdata, he was factoring in dyno time (which isn't even neccessary really), cost of a new ecu (even though he already has an obd1 p75, cost of data logging (even though i'm sure he wouldn't be able to use it, so it would be a waste), etc. so he said uber was too expensive, when really it would only cost him 70 bucks at the most to run uber since he already has the ecu :-\

What is it $25 for chipping kit, $65 for burner and borrow someones wideband or dyno or pay $300 for a wideband. Iam going the buying a wideband route.

yeah, but the average person isn't going to buy a wideband, isn't going to chip their own ecu, and isn't going to buy a chip burner right away. the average, not so electronically inclined person is going to pay to have their ecu chipped and then drive the piss out of it and never touch again until maybe a good opportunity comes up to have it tuned, so a total of about 70 bucks really. hell, before i knew how to do it, i paid someone to chip my ecu and ran a basemap for about 7-8 months and never touched it, beat the piss out of my car and threw as much as 15 psi at it on an untuned basemap with no problems, it ran great too, i could have pulled more power out of it, but it ran great/safe none the less.

Im not sure if your just daft or what. Not my shop. I was a buyer in this group buy and was posting it on other sites so that I could get my turbo at a cheaper rate.

It was going to be 500 dollars shipped to me in canada for a gt3251e and the sc turbos except 61 and 63 were going to be $545.00 shipped to anyone in the states. However someone emailed precision the link(probably a company that buys lots from precision) and they contacted the shop above and told them if they dont stop the group buy they will pull their account with them.

Thats what the guy who was running the group buy said and thats all i know.
