Default Greddy Type-S BOV

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you have a greddy type-S bov? What does it sound like? I bought one after hearing a few sound clips. I thought it was going to be a high pitched squeal, but its completly different. Its like a flutter sort of, almost sounds like a rattle snakes tail.

Is there a reason one would sound different than another? I have tryed setting it hard and soft with not really differance. Any imput?

the type-s has 2 nipples on it; 1 for vaccum that opens the valve and is tapped at the manifold after the throttle body; and the other you're supposed to put on the pressure side of the turbo.

with the pressure side and vaccum side hooked up at the same time that thing will scream and cry loud and ugly; i like it. With just the vaccum hooked up and low boost it'll flutter; with some pressure behind it it'll make a nice little PSHUUUAH. you can also set teh spring tension to affect the sound.

sounds like a PISSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIYYYY

lol, all jokes aside, thats how it sounds,

if u put it all the was soft and barley rev it, it sound like a crying kitten

the short time i ran it i had it t'd into the feed line for the wastegate before my manual boost controller.

it bled pressure somewhere and my boost would do funny things so i said no thx;
i'll probably tap a charge pipe if i decide to do it again

Ok well I hooked up the pressure line and the sound didnt change. I think it might have gotten a little little bit louder but thats it. Ihave the vac hooked the top nipple and the pressure to the bottom. I guess some just make a different sound than others? That or mines broken lol.

lol that rattlesnake sound is compressor surge. The BOV is not doing its job. I have a Greddy Type-S and they're a real slutbag to get them to work right. Its the only BOV that gave me problems.
