Greddy Black Box?

Would it be a good idea to use a greddy black box for fuel management along with a vortech 12:1 fmu and 255lhp pump on a homemade turbo kit running 6-8psi?

it will work, but the greddy black box of lies can only do so much, it will trick the ecu into thinking the car is always cold,

that with a fmu it may work alright,

it will have to be an OBD1 car though.

Re:Greddy Black Box?

EDIT:
The greddy black box is no good WITH an FMU because they are both there to do the same thing... It's really a dumb question, sorry to say, but truth is, you either use the black box for up to around 6-7 PSI (supposedly all it's good for) and from about 7-12 (maybe more) alot of people use ONLY the pump w/ FMU. But bottom line, it's EITHER OR. Not BOTH!

(thanks jeff didn't know that, never saw a black box)

blackbox comes with the sohc kit.. (obd1)

bluebox was designed with the greddy 310cc injectors correct? (obd1/2) B-series

Re:Greddy Black Box?

So which one is better the fmu or the black box? I would guess the black box since greddy sells it with its kit and no fuel pump, disc fmu or injectors.

Re:Greddy Black Box?

I think they are both kinda shady 8) for fuel management, but if I had to pick, I would go with the FMU.. But if you are going to run low boost the Blackbox will work just fine 5-6psi (what the greddy kit was designed for)

Re: Greddy Black Box?

So the black box does push more fuel? But does it do anything for timming? I have searched everywhere and even called dealers. No one seems to know anything.

You want some knowledge? Throw that ---- in the garbage, and get some real fuel management.

You could have looked at the date it was posted, dipshit.
