got a lil work done (UPDATE: GOT A LIL MORE WORK DONE)
ok so i got a few things done today here are some pics.
finally mounted the ic, and cut up front bumper (still need to file it and make it neater): http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...91_75_full.jpg My injectors out and on the ground: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...91_71_full.jpg Nice new clean injectors in and 2 resistors in ready to be soldered (or however you spell it): http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...91_67_full.jpg All 4 resistors in, one is kinda hidden: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...91_76_full.jpg Hey where'd that mani, cat, and downpipe go?: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...91_74_full.jpg There they are (along with my friend Chilton, and the intake): http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...91_73_full.jpg UPDATE so i started installing the greddy profec B spec II and cleaned up a little bit. here are some more pics: The fuel pressure regulator snipped: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...91_81_full.jpg The fuel pressure regulator hooked back up: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...91_78_full.jpg A little cleaning done: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...91_77_full.jpg And 2 pics where i mounted the boost controller valve: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...91_79_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...91_80_full.jpg I cant do anything else untill i get those gaskets. so if anyone knows where to find a gasket for a garrett T3 for the adapter plate (or for the exhaust mani) let me know. |
Re: got a lil work done today (pics inside 56k go for a quickie)
Use your old manifold at a turbo manifold. Just cut off below where the pipe merge together. I've made 3 manifolds using that same y7 mani. It looks and works alot better then a hf mani since you can mount a t3 on there and keep the actuator in a the original spot unlike when you use a hf/adapter plate setup.

Re: got a lil work done today (pics inside 56k go for a quickie)
i really dont have time to do all that right now, but do you have a right up or a site that kinda explains how to do that. i dont see how once you cut where the cat connects to the mani, how the T3 can bolt right up to it. it would involve welding a flange on right? but yea if you have a right up with pics or know where one is let me know.

I mounted my Profec solenoid in the same place. Good choice!

Re: got a lil work done (UPDATE: GOT A LIL MORE WORK DONE)
well yeah you gotta weld a t3 or whatever flange you want on it but then your able to fit the t3 with the actuator still attached in the original spot cause ask anyone using a t3 on a hf on how they set up there actuator since it won't fit with the hf.

I'm jealous of all the room you have but you need to get a y8 IM in there!

^ i got it off my friend for real cheap, along with his HKS SSQ BOV too. my whole setup so far only cost me about 1k. and thats with the log mani (from csaddict for 165 shipped). T3 .52/.48, BOV, Greddy Profec B spec II, going to have my ic piping and dp made by muffler shop (quoted at $200). 450cc injectors with OBD1 clips. mishimoto (ebay) ic for like $150 (good up only to like 15 psi, which is way more than ill be running for now anyways.)
