via tunertoys.com ive never had a problem with them. i recieved excellent customer service when i had problems with some a fualty fuel injector and they shipped stuff out like craig walks around with the stuff strapped to his back pachaged at all times living next store to the post office |
Re: good setup for under 1000
Vitara's, Tuner Toys rods or some used Eagles maybe, 450 or 550cc injectors, hx35, some sort of manifold, and boom, can pull off your HP goal. Oh yeah, ARP head studs.

Re: good setup for under 1000
Because you are a n00b, and therefore confused because you haven't heard it thirty times in twenty nine posts: TT rods and Vitaras.
I'd step back to the A6 head with $75 Delta regrind cam, and run an OBX LSD. My head preferrence is a non-issue, but you really should look into an OBX for a serious D-series. |

Re: good setup for under 1000
You ran undersized STD Vitaras in oversized STD bores that have tens to a hundred thousand miles worth of wear on them. Yes, YOUR Vitaras are noisy.

Re: good setup for under 1000
so then what size piston vitras should i get im boreing my 30 so what should i buy so it is not so loud
|
Re: good setup for under 1000
if your thinkin about boring out a D that far think again just get a good honing and then find a set of vitaras and drop them in O0
|
Re: good setup for under 1000
.5 mm o/s Vitaras are just slightly less than a .5mm o/s in a D15/D16 block. That's more like 0.020", good luck finding Vitaras in 0.030" - not that you'd want to run them in that size with stock sleeves.
