Good news for guys with Leaking turbo seals.

If you have my kind of luck most of the Turbos you will land up with off the junk yard or ebay will have weak seals and puting in new seals will not solve your problem.

Dont despair there seems to be an easy fix Ive not seen discused on any of the torbo forums I wonder why ?

Basiclly you can replace your oil seals with over size piston ring seals.

Posted a request for a dealer of these rings in Classifed section but no responce.

Anyway hopefully my USA Distributor will be arranging some over size rings for me.

that can work sometimes but other times its the journal in which the rings rest that gets worn out... havent figured out what to do then yet.

Your talking about the main turbo body housing Yes ?
Or the grove on the shaft.

Both can be filled with some hard welding material on a Tig setup and machined right ?
My plan is to just run the over size ring and let it wear in.
