Good News~~Kick Ass
Well as some of you may have read i was hearing pinging noises from my motor, sound like bouncing metal. We removed the head, pull the oil pan, and drained oil and there wasnt a single spec of metal to be found, we took the head to the shop that made it and they said it wasnt tensioned properly and one of the valves was bent. Seeing as how they just built the dam thing under 4k miles ago they are replacing the valve and fixing for free. While the head is off im taking advantage of the situation and putting on a cosmetics head gasket. Along with this i just ordered a complete greddy emanage system including the profec e-01 and a remote switching system. Heres my mod list
D16z6 Sport sleeves JE 9.1 Pistons Eagel Rods Comp turbo cam shaft Crower Valves "ferrera" Springs "crane" Retainers ARP headstuds Ported & Polished 3 Angle valve Job MSD BTM MSD BLASTER COIL JG CAM GEAR Pullys Focuz intake manifold Alum flywheel ACT clutch Underdrive pulley 255 fuel pump- BBK Vafc--being sold AVC-R Boost Controller--being sold Aem FPR Vortech Fmu---being sold Greddy Fuel Box---sold Greddy 15G turbo kit Greddy FMIC Greddy blow off 2.5" downpipe Greddy Turbo Timer Greddy oil catch can Greddy a/f Guage Greddy Boost Guage Greddy catback exhaust high flow cat Mandercoil plug wires Greddy spark plugs Optima red top battery (located in back) e-manage system w/all accessory's profec e-01 remote switching system and a cosmetics head gasket im having it tuned at 10psi daily, looking for 200-220whp and my high boost setting is going to be 15psi which im hoping for between 250-275whp. I cant wait to get all this installed, remote switching system should be a fun option to play with jumping from 10psi to 15psi from a button ;D Next mod will be sell sell the greddy kit and get my hands on a t3/t4 etc. |
Re:Good News~~Kick Ass
FYI the BBK fuel pump is really just a Walbro. It says Walbro right on it.

Re:Good News~~Kick Ass
That's a pretty sweet setup !!
I saw my friends greddy 15G off the car for the first time the other day and its WAY smaller than my TD04L-13T !! I think it could see some nice gains by porting the turbine housing too, its just crazy small, almost as small ( physically ) as my TD04-9Bs that came off my stealth, and they are normally refered to as "doughnut turbos". I bet its going to be crazy fast, even with the greddy !!! But you'll prob. kick yourself for not using a T3/T4 sooner after to switch to a bigger/better turbo. Good luck !! |

Im dropping it off at the shop tomarrow, im hoping to have everything done in a week but realistically i think it wont be another 10 days before it might be done. We are still getting the head stuff taken care of and next thing is to install all this profec/emanage stuff but i still need to order the remote switching system and need to find where to order this "optional signal harness for the system" It should be decently quick for a small greddy turbo, i cant wait to get it all done, the track opens the 20th of this month but my car wont be done in time and im gonna take it easy for te first week or so until all the kinks are gone. My next thing to do in a few weeks after all this is done is to buy a bigger fmic and then save for a t3/t4, 3" downpipe and a sst manifold. My current fmic isnt eye candy and has too many bent fins for my liking. My next intercooler is going to be the johnny race car itnercooler and im going to have it anodized black. |
